Are Single women a Myth?
In response to my "7 steps to finding a wife" article, one brother responded and suggested that there are not really a lot of single women at all. That in fact, there must be a shortage which he used the number of "Imams" who marry non-Muslim women as proof of his point. So I ask, what is your experience? Are there ar number of single women? Why do some Imams marry non-Muslim women instead of Muslims?

Masha'Allah! I'm not sure where this brother lives but there are an abundance of single Muslim women all over the globe. In my community there are a handful of single, righteous, practicing Muslim women who have never been married or are divorced and are looking to be remarried. There is shortage of good, righteous Muslim brothers all over the globe as well. If these so-called "Imams" are marrying non-Muslim women then that's their personal choice. Too often Muslim men, not just imams, marry non-Muslim women and pass by many, many eligible Muslimah women along the way. This doesn't leave the Muslim women with much choice see we are supposed to only marry Muslim men. So I know for a fact there are lots of single Muslim women out there.
