Headwrapping Success in Canton, MI!
Special thank yous go to Jillian and the Canton Public Library for hosting the Art of Headwrapping workshop! Unfortunately, most of our pictures were lost from the event (camera left in movie theatre fiasco :( ) but here is the announcement reprinted from www.cantonpl.org:
From Jillian the Tween Librarian:
We had a fabulous time at the Gele Headwrapping
program this past Saturday. We learned three different ways to style
our favorite fabrics and we learned about headwrapping from different
cultural perspectives. We took some pictures in case you missed it. If
you would like to see this program happen again, just let us know. A
special thanks to Zarinah El-Amin Naeem for a colorfully fun workshop!
Look out for our Art of Headwrapping book due Spring/Fall 2010!
