An interactive headwrapping workshop for women who love to be beautiful!

Fold, place, whip around, tuck, pull, pin!  Headwraps are a beautiful way to accessorize your look and show a bit of style!  Participants learn to tie their own headwraps as well as a bit of the history of headwrapping in America.  Bring a 2 yard piece of fabric and by the end of our time together, you'll walk away knowing how to wrap at least 3 styles from which the number of unique looks you can create are endless!

• Suggested time is 2 hours
• Background history on the usage of headwraps in America
• Textile Recommendations for creating African style wraps
• Demonstrations of several styles and techniques
• One-on-One assistance for participants
• Fun closing
• Small selection of headwraps avaialble for purchase
• Typical Audience: Girls and women ages 8 and up. 

Presenter:  Zarinah El-Amin Naeem, headwrapologist.  Zarinah has led hundreds of demonstrations on headwrapping and travelled extensively in West Africa.  On wrapping she says, "Headwraps have the unique ability to transform the spirit.  I've seen women come in down and out and with just a little bit of fabric, begin to see themselves and their place in this world differently.  It's amazing!"
